about

Intimate and dystopian, these songs were born in the wake of the 2016 election when, with fear in the air, I was thinking about what I would want to tell the people I love if the world were actually ending.

As I wrote each song, I imagined friends and family facing a range of apocalyptic scenarios: climate change, genocide, global inequality, as well as more eclectic troubles like shipwrecks and alien invasion. And I asked myself what I would have to say to them.

As the world continues to spin on its twisty course, these songs have kept me sane, lending a strange sense of hope against the darkness around us. Now I’m offering them to you as a companion for dark times.
